The Automotive & Technical Museum with the only two mass-produced supersonic passenger airplanes on display, the Russian Tupolev Tu-144 and the French-British “Concorde” of Air France. Visitors to the Automotive & Technical Museum will not only experience spectacular airplanes, but also numerous prime examples of technical history that are absolutely unique. Additionally, the greatest cinematic experience in the world can be found there: the 3D IMAX cinema.
The City and Liberty Museum housed in the Historic City Hall offers an attractive overview of Sinsheim’s rich city history. Records from all centuries are presented in a didactically masterful manner, showing almost no historical period has passed without leaving its traces in Sinsheim.
Here in Kraichgau – and not in Berlin or Brandenburg – you will find the only museum dedicated to the life and work of the Prussian King Frederick the Great (1712-1786). The museum is located in the city district of Steinsfurt.
The city’s symbol is Steinsberg Castle – a masterpiece of the Staufer architecture with a unique eight-corner keep. The 333m-high Steinsberg Castle in the district of Weiler offers an marvelous view over Sinsheim and long into the distance into Kraichgau. Surrounded by vineyards, the Kraichgau Compass is a popular destination.
